Abstract


Conventional removable partional dentures may be of limited value for patients whose remaining teeth have advanced periodontal disease, generalized mobility, and a questio nable prognosis. In this situations, a swing lock removable partial denture is an alter-native approach.
Swing lock removable partial denture is consisted of lingual plate, labial bar, strut, hinge attachment, and lock-latch attachment.
The purpose of this article is a clinical evaluation of a swing lock removable partial denture.
Authors delivered a swing lock removable partial denture to the patient about ago and evaluated the retention and support of the denture aid supporting structures 00 the remaining teeth by means of clinical and radiograpbic examinations.
Authors came to the conclusion that the result of clinicpi evaluation of the denture was excellent.
